Pomp and Circumstance

IT'S OFFICIAL!

(pic via)

I'm now a doctor! I was finally hooded and handed my diploma after two days of ceremonies marking the culmination of four years of studying, stress, sleepless nights, among many other things. The only adjective that I could come up with to describe how it felt being called doctor while walking during the commencement ceremony is surreal. I'm still in a state of disbelief that medical school is over.

At the risk of sounding sappy, I want to say thank you to my parents and friends. These are the people that have stood by me the past few years and had faith me when I lacked faith in myself. You answered the phone at all hours of the day when I needed someone to talk to, handed me boxes of Kleenex when necessary, cheered me up, celebrated my accomplishments. This degree would have never happened without all of you.
I'm off to celebrate (some more)!

  1. Wow, just came across your blog today! Congratulations on this huge accomplishment! You should do an "about me" section I'd like to know a little more about your journey from the past few years. :)
