I'm certain that most of you can identify the venerable style icon that is responsible for the popular sayings listed above, mainly because you probably uttered them repeatedly after watching the '90s classic "Clueless" starring Alicia Silverstone as Cher. The third citation, which is my favorite, could very well be promoted as my personal mantra. As a side note, I totally wrote with a pen like that in grade school.

Not only was the dialogue memorable, but Cher's style was something to mimic too. Her expansive closet was full plaid skirts and crop tops, but perhaps the most synonymous item with mid '90s fashion and Cher is knee high socks. These experienced a resurgence this past winter as several designers paired them with wedges and courdoroy shorts to make diversified ensembles that look anything but dated.

I picked up a pair from Macy's a few weeks ago and have found they work equally as well protecting me from the cold when layered under my scrubs as they do with hunter green corduroy shorts.
